Christmas Observance 2012

The Christmas Observance went well today. I had an absolutely amazing turnout today and I thank everyone for turning out particularly with the weather not being exactly conducive to traveling. I had people from all over the state and from other Commanderies attend.

I led the Sir Knights, taking part in the ceremony, in a procession into the Asylum, had an invocation by Sir Knight David Triplett, and then had the Master Councilor of the local DeMolay Chapter present the flag of the United States. After greeting everyone and having the Junior Warden light the candles, I turned the time over to David Triplett. He started the program reminiscing on the past year and past Christmas Observances.

He then turned the program over to Alex Koper, Past Miss Idaho Job's Daughter, who invited the children present to the East and she told the Christmas Story which included the singing of hymns. David finished off the program with a comparison of the Christmas Carol and the relationship of God to man through His Son Jesus Christ. It was an excellent program and I thank both of them for it.

To include the youth I brought grape juice for the audience to join in the toasts to the Most Eminent Grand Master of the Grand Encampment of Knights Templar of the USA, to the Most Worshipful Grand Master of Masons in Idaho, to the Most Excellent Grand High Priest of Royal Arch Masons of Idaho, to the Most Illustrious Grand Master of Cryptic Masons of Idaho, and to the Right Eminent Grand Master of Knights Templar of Idaho.

We ended the ceremony with music, a benediction, and a procession of Sir Knights out of the Asylum. Some of the local Jobies (with dual membership in the Rainbow Girls) came out and we took some photos.

Afterward, I went out to my aunt's house to attend the annual Christmas Party and got to see all my cousins and the little ones.

Now it's time to relax and enjoy the Holiday Season.
